Please also go through the other entries below for more ways you can make your feelings about bringing back the pony rides known.
As of mid-September 2023, you can email Placeworks, the consultant hired recently by the city to evaluate how the public sees the pony rides. See this blog post for details.
Recreation and Parks (RAP), who closed the pony rides, can re-open them if they hear enough demand from the public.
RAP has two meetings each month, on the first and third Thursdays. Comments may only be given in person, though anyone can listen in via Zoom. The physical location changes every time. The list of upcoming meeting locations is posted here, and they begin at 9am.
RAP posts their agendas as PDFs, a few days before each meeting, on this page. The agenda contains the link to listen via Zoom. You can also sign up for our mailing list, as we send out updates before each meeting with the meeting details and the Zoom link.
They have also created a Pony Rides Task Force that has regular meetings once a month. The Task Force meetings happen the third Thursday of the month, immediately following the regular RAP meeting.
We send updates about the meetings directly to our mailing list, which you can get added to by emailing us directly at savegriffithparkponyrides@gmail.com. You can also subscribe to our calendar for updates.

This will open a link to the city file. On the top bar are 3 icons. Click NEW (it looks like a notepad) and it will take you to the public comment form.
Fill it out and make sure to include, "BRING BACK LIVE PONIES TO GRIFFITH PARK PONY RIDES."
The file number should populate automatically, but if it doesn't, it is 21-1457.
You can use your 1st initial and last name.
It takes 2 minutes to do this.

It is important that you say that LIVE PONIES belong at the pony rides, because the activists who crusaded to get the pony rides closed want a mechanical attraction instead, with no animal interactions at all.
A sample post might be:
My kids loved the pony rides in Griffith Park! It was their first time experiencing live ponies, and it made them so happy. The pony rides belong back in the park, with live ponies, not some mechanical substitute!! Go to savegriffithparkponyrides.com to learn more, and to take action like I have. Thank you!!
Please share our website address everywhere, and thank you for caring!
